It works better overall. The 8400 uses socket 1151v2, not 1155.

It depends on your budget and goals. If you're not keen on spending too much and just want to play, sticking with Intel makes sense. For anything else—upgrades, future plans, or without a Z-series board—I’d recommend AM4. I thought it was 1151, but please disregard that.
