R5 3600 performance with NZXT X53 cooling setup Question: Temperature stability and fan behavior
About six months ago, I assembled a setup using the R5 3600 and initially used the stock cooler in a H510 case. Eventually, I upgraded to an AIO cooler. I appreciated the aesthetic and the affordable price of around $60. On the stock cooler, the CPU stayed around 68°C at idle with the side panel on and dropped to 65°C without it. After switching to the NZXT X53, idle temps hovered near 59°C and rose to about 80°C under load. The liquid temperature was consistently around 39°C at idle and reached roughly 45°C during load, which seems acceptable. I was hoping for tighter thermal alignment but wasn’t sure if the mount was faulty. The CAM data confirms it’s within normal ranges. It looks like a 20°C difference is typical, so I’m not sure if remounting the AIO is necessary.
It seems a remount isn't likely to make a difference. A Wraith Prism versus the Stealth would have matched the AIO's temperatures. Thanks for the update—you've overspent on cooling for that 3600.
