I just noticed a minor drop in mhz across all cores from 3899 to 3725 for a brief moment. During that time I checked the prime 95 and observed only one test succeeded while another started around the two-hour mark. No other changes appeared in vcore, temperatures, or CPU usage. It seems like a small issue, possibly related to software or just a result of the testing sequence shifting.
I’d consider it a minor glitch, likely from the software, but it might be connected to the test change.
A quicker method would be to run IBT: http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4965-i...ntest.html
It’s worth noting that about 20 minutes of IBT is similar to two hours of prime95 testing. I usually run both to confirm, but if you decide to try it, set it up for 50 passes with standard settings. It takes roughly 15 minutes, then you’d need 20-25 passes at max settings, which would take a few hours. This test also checks your RAM performance.
You’ll see the cores start a freeze test, then quickly hit maximum CPU load, followed by another freeze and another high load cycle. You can monitor the temperatures and core performance during these cycles to spot any fluctuations.
