So i have a 1600 running on a Gigabyte Ab350 gaming 3 and on bios f3 or f6 i'm not sure(never upgraded it). In the near future i plan on upgrading to a 5700x. In the meantime i wanted to upgrade in advance the bios to one of the mentioned above versions so when the cpu arrives all i need to do is plug and play. And i have a few questions/concerns. 1) Will the 1600 run on one of those bios versions? 2)What are the chances of me bricking the board? 3)All i know until now is the upgrade path F31 -F41 - F52h/T52d Any tips to ease the pressure? or sites/videos i could get more research from to feel more relaxed about this?

From what I understand here, newer BIOS releases often remove support for specific APUs, yet Zen 1 compatibility isn't referenced, so it should work. 2] As long as you're in a region with reliable electricity and avoid updating your BIOS during storms, you should be safe. Otherwise, consider purchasing a UPS. 3] Take the details from the linked page into account; your upgrade route seems suitable—install or update the mentioned components.

It seems I misidentified the exact motherboard I own; it actually links to Gigabyte's support page for the GA-AB350 Gaming Rev 1x. A few features differ slightly, like the 7.1 audio option. The power supply should work fine unless there are severe weather disruptions. Installing the BIOS via the official Gigabyte app or Center might be simpler.
