Hello, I recently updated my 14900HX to 5.3Ghz across all cores (2x at 5.8Ghz) and set E cores to 4.3Ghz. Applied a small undervolt of -120 on everything. CB23 scored 40K points without any issues, and it runs smoothly in Fortnite and other games. As soon as I launch the game, the system sometimes freezes and requires a forced restart. No BSOD appears. I found it works well with 5.1Ghz P 4.1Ghz E at -155 on everything. I’m wondering why it functions in CB23, Heaven 4, and benchmarks but not in the game. Maybe I should lower the undervolt slightly? Or check if E cores or P cores are affecting performance? Temperatures are low – GPU nears its max around 46°C and CPU stays between 55-58°C sometimes even lower. Thanks ahead!

I don't need a laptop. It's fine with me not to use one.

Yes, it’s happening. The system is experiencing crashes while a stress test is being blocked from starting.

I'm not fine with P95. Unrealistic load, never ran it, never will. Not even on my desktop. Undervolting won't kill it, unlike shoving crapload of unrealistic load via it. Same as Furmark not going to run that. Anyway I'll wait for more realistic suggestions.

Prime95 doesn't harm your CPU, yet it's effective for checking if a system remains stable.

I'll seek help elsewhere. I just wanted to ask for some support, not a discussion.

I don’t like running my CPU above 100°C for long. I’ll look into it later or handle it myself. Think of this as unresolved and closed.

It mainly comes down to varying CPU loads during testing. Games tend to stress different components more than Cinebench. Prime 95 is a solid benchmark that often hits maximum performance. It even includes an Intel-specific variant, making it ideal for checking stability. These chips are built to handle high temperatures. The OC and undervoltage factors can be tricky together, but it’s worth testing without OC to see how the system behaves.
