Hello everyone! I’m considering buying GTA V in retail because it’s more affordable than getting it via Steam. But when I asked the cashier if I could activate the game through Steam, she told me it only works on R*’s website. I’m okay with GTA V not being available on Steam, but I’d like to understand the differences. Does the Steam version include any features or content that aren’t present in the retail version?

Enhanced Steam connection. You can also install R* GTA V on Steam and it functions smoothly (a friend did this).

Steam integration refers to connecting your game to Steam. Shift+Tab isn't an issue, you can simply add the game to Steam.

Yeah, that's what I said, about how you can still add it to Steam. But I think it's easier for people to join your Online game if you and he had the Steam version. But it would only be easier, it still works fine with the R* version.
