Quiet operation with Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 on I7 5820K at 4.4Ghz
Will the Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 3 CPU cooler suffice for an overclocked 5820K at 4.4GHz and 1.495 volts? If not, then I'll go with an AIO cooler. Just a quick question for the forum members.
The 5820k is just a 140 watt CPU, while the Dark Rock Pro 3 can manage a 250 watt TDP CPU, so even after overclocking it should work well. You'll also need effective case cooling to supply ample airflow and a strong exhaust fan to dissipate heat. In short, everything should function smoothly.

2.495 volts would fry that chip immediately. I think you meant 1.495.
I wouldn't push beyond 1.4v continuously on these chips. If you do, it's likely to deteriorate quickly. I've been running at 1.325v for mine at 4.4Ghz since the X99 platform came out. Usually, 1.3v is the safe maximum for long-term use.
