Hi folks I'm about to pull the trigger on an Asus Prime 5070ti non-oc. Being a somewhat old fart I remember back in the days 5-10 years ago or so when Asus was the best of the best. I just wanted to make sure that this is mostly still true and my choice for an Asus GPU is not a bad one. I remember Steve Burke from Gamer's Nexus saying "There's no such thing as a good brand only a good product." Reviews for this GPU (Asus Prime 5070ti non-oc) look solid. Is my choice a good one? Any reason not to pull the trigger on this bad boy?
Thanks!

Asus now has a high price tag because of their brand image. I’d choose anything you have access to that might be cheaper and a non-OC version.
In truth, you ask first, then buy. With the arrival of the RTX3000 series, overclocking your card at home is no longer possible, and factory overclocking is limited. We’re now more focused on features rather than value in parts or products that only slightly improve frame rates.

@Lutfij
Thx I'm not concerned about small amounts of money. Also this a great opportunity given the limited availability of 5070 ti's right now especially non-OC ones.

I think I've come out on top in the silicon lottery several times.
My Asus dual 4070 handles 2900-3040 depending on the game and case.
My 3060ti FE runs between 1890-2015.
Both Asus Dual and EVGA SC 1070 models worked well from 1900-2015, though the EVGA was slightly better.
A few older cards also performed nicely.
The EVGA 960 didn’t overclock much.
The main factor is cooling and fan curves.
A well-ventilated case with strong airflow is essential.
Fan curve is straightforward: 40c=40% fan, 80c=80%, 81 and above=100%.
The 4070 is at 63c while the 3060ti is at 67c as I write this.
Both are fully loaded with spikes occasionally dropping to 89%.

It's a solid option, but you might want to check out the RX 9070 XT if time allows. This model has improved slightly in speed since the review. AMD recently released an updated driver that boosts performance in some games, making it faster than the 5070 TI on average, though it can be a bit slower or faster depending on the game. The main advantage is the lower price compared to the RX 9070 XT.
