Can I play GTA V at maximum performance settings on my PC? CPU is an i5 4690k running around 3.5 GHz (could need overclocking). GPU is a Gigabyte Z97X-SOC, GPU is a Tri-X R9 290, RAM is 8GB DDR3, SSD is Kingstone 120GB, cooler is Hyper 212 Evo, PSU is 650W Antec EarthWatts, and it’s running Windows 8.1 64-bit retail. Please don’t ask why I didn’t get a GTX 970 or something similar. ! ! ! THANKS! !

1080p likely works fine, but GTA V might be struggling with AMD graphics cards. (By the 290 it’s quite solid)

Oh yeah, I forget to mention that I'm targeting the 60fps @ 1080p range. I've also heard about this problem with AMD GPU's but with the recent beta driver it seems to have been fixed... sorta.

It might actually be accurate, though I'm not entirely confident. The R9 290's speed is roughly comparable to the GTX 780's performance.

There are a few issues with AMD, but at 1080p it performs well.

I've been searching for a decent graph for hours. Thanks a lot! Also, I'm not entirely clear on what the 0.1% fps refers to.

It seems the R9 290 is quite close to the 970. However, I might have to wait a week or two for more appealing models to come out
