You can upgrade your ASUS X507M’s RAM. The stock 4GB 2400MHz chip works fine for basic tasks, but swapping in an 8GB module at 2666MHz or higher is possible and will improve performance. A 3200MHz option is also viable if you want even better speeds. Just ensure the new stick matches the system’s socket type (DDR3) and is compatible with your motherboard.
Get whatever you can for a reasonable cost. It will operate at the default speed the system chooses, and I think you won’t be able to raise it beyond 2400MHz given the available BIOS settings.
