Hi Everyone, I attempted to post this in the Windows 10 discussion but got limited replies. Admins, consider moving it to a more suitable forum if needed. I’m looking for advice on adding the "Mobile Hotspot" option to the Quick Actions tray in Windows 10. My Dell XPS 15 9550 runs Windows 10 Home and I’m having trouble finding how to enable this. A friend with a Surface Book using Windows 10 Pro has it available in the Quick Actions section, which is helpful since my XPS uses Ethernet and shares Wi-Fi with other devices. The button isn’t listed there, but it works on the Surface. Could someone point out what I might be missing to include this quick action in the Action Center? Thanks!

The mobile hotspot quick action lets you turn your PC into a Wi-Fi hotspot. It generates a Wi-Fi network that other devices can join. This is handy when your computer is already on Ethernet and you need to wirelessly connect more gadgets. With LTE connections in some models, you can also share LTE data as if using a mobile phone. On the XPS version we have, this feature offers limited practical benefit.

Not sure you've read my post thoroughly, or if you have you've misunderstood the question. I already use the Mobile Hotspot feature frequently (original post edited to explain this) but I'm look for an easier way to turn it on without having to dig through the menus. I've seen this button available on a Microsoft Surface Book but can see no way to add the feature to my current version of Windows. I've turned to these forums in an attempt to see if more knowledgeable individuals can point me in the right direction to achieve my goal.

You seemed unsure about your request since the toggle was already set in the action center. If it wasn’t there, you can add it by navigating to settings, system, notifications, and actions, then selecting add or remove quick actions. You also have the option to reorder the quick toggles from this location.
