That is what I was using but the plug seems to stick, and it has problems with connectivity with the headset, and it doesn't stay in place there no way to attach it to anything firmly i tride glue, many different types industrial of tape, and it still did not want to stay.

I noticed magnetic mini display port connectors. Perhaps you could pair one with a mini DP to DP adapter? Or maybe just use a longer display cable. Place a zip tie or two about an inch from the graphics card end and secure them to the desk or wall so the cable can handle any movement instead of the slot. It’s much cheaper to swap out a damaged cable.
