Hi, I have an i7-8700k with 32 GB DDR4 RAM, a GTX1070 with 8 GB, a 3 TB drive, and a 500-watt PSU. I’m planning to replace the graphics card with an MSI Ventus RTX 3060 Ti and need to check if the same 500 watt power supply will work.

Hi, I have an i7-8700k with 32 GB DDR4 RAM, a GTX1070 with 8 GB, a 3 TB M.2 drive, a 500W PSU, and now I plan to upgrade the graphics card to an MSI Ventus RTX 3060Ti. Can I still use the same 500W power supply?

Nvidia suggests using a 650w power supply for the 3060 Ti.
but the wattage isn't the sole factor to consider when buying a PSU.
you must also look for a well-reviewed, dependable choice to guarantee adequate power supply and safety for your connected devices.
