I am assembling my new gaming PC and believe my AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D requires a power cable to operate. I intend not to overclock beyond increasing memory speed for my 32GB RAM sticks at 6000 MHz. The CPU is connected to a Gigabyte X870 EAGLE WIFI7 ATX AM5 motherboard, and I will use the Be Quiet! Pure Power 13 M 1000 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX power supply. My questions are:
1. Should I connect an 8-pin, 4-pin, or both types of pins to the motherboard for power?
2. Where should the cable be inserted into the P8 plug on the power supply?

Make sure to link the 8-pin (top left of the motherboard) properly. The 4-pin is not necessary. One 8-pin can provide up to 300 W, while the 9800X3D stays under 165 W. Be quiet! PSU should be labeled P8.

Yes, you're correct. Your CPU power cable connects to the P8 port on your Be Quiet! PSU.
