Questionrandom reboots
I assembled my computer about a year ago, and all components are brand new except the RAM, which is a year older. At the start of this year, my PC began restarting randomly without any crash reports—just a black screen that would turn back on quickly. I’ve been ignoring it until recently, since it’s been happening almost every day for about three months now, and more frequently every two hours.
I checked the temperatures, which were normal. Then I looked at the PSU and used OCCT to confirm underclocking; I also verified other components for underclocking, but nothing failed. I tested the PSU voltage with my motherboard, but couldn’t find any significant fluctuations. I ran a MemTest86 on each RAM stick and found no errors. When I removed and reinserted the RAM, the crashes temporarily stopped, which was unusual.
I also switched to an older RAM module from an older PC, and like the new ones, the random crashes ceased for about three days before returning, though less frequently than the newer sticks. At this point, I’m quite puzzled. I don’t have spare parts to test other components, and my only suspicion is that the CPU might be the culprit—since it’s a 13th generation model, and there are reports of oxidation issues with those CPUs. I reached out to Intel, who suggested they would take my CPU for evaluation.
Additionally, my monitor now lags when powering on and displays strange white lines flickering during shutdown or startup. I also attempted a fresh reinstall of the GPU drivers, but that didn’t resolve the problem.
I’m curious whether replacing the RAM significantly helped reduce the crashes, as it seems to have lowered the frequency of issues.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I suspect the oxidation problem might be related to what you're experiencing, as Intel had been aware of the issue until it was uncovered by researchers such as Steve from GamersNexus.
This is the situation with your motherboard: ASRock B760 Pro RS/D4 (latest BIOS update).
Please confirm the BIOS version you're currently using. Have you reset the CMOS after confirming the BIOS was updated to the most recent release?
Additionally, how long has the power supply unit been in use?
yes it was my cpu, intel provided a new one and now my pc is back to normal. they didn't mention it was oxidation, though i think that's what happened.
