Questionpossibly broken GPU
Today i got a new monitor, set it up and everything worked fine until it developed a pink tint during testing. I checked the settings but nothing changed. After rebooting my PC, it displayed a blue screen and entered automatic repair mode (it didn’t fix the issue). My GPU is an RX 570 that I’ve been using for about five years. I usually used a 1080p 144Hz monitor, but now switched to a 1440p 165Hz one since the old one stopped working.
I’ve tried a spare monitor, HDMI connections, and booting into safe mode. If anyone can assist me, I would really appreciate it.
Have you experimented by changing the video cables or ports to check for improvements? Also, did you connect another device to the new screen to determine if the pink color appears with it?
I tried safe mode and also experienced a blue screen. The pink effect is gone now. I restarted the computer to see if it fixed the issue, but after turning it back on, both monitors no longer show the problem.
The loose cable/port fitting often results in comparable color problems. The BSOD might stem from multiple factors. Could you provide the full specifications for this system, particularly the manufacturer, model, and age of the power supply?
Display an image of the bluescreen? It holds useful details that could assist in identifying the issue.
