Whenever I attempt to download a game, my computer becomes extremely slow. The mouse stops responding and lags, text fails to type, and numerous other problems occur. Are there any solutions I might consider?

where did you download from? how much space is available on the ssd?

I think there are many unnecessary services active. Check the lists in Task Manager under Services and Processes to identify any that aren't required. These are usually bloatware. Turn off or suspend them to see if it improves performance.
