Hi , I've recently been experiencing issues with no signal on the monitor and the pc lagging randomly, happened 3 times so far and it's always been either when I was playing or when I finished playing, it's like the pc freezes but it's still on but no signal
For example, I was playing Diablo when suddenly my screen goes black with no signal but the PC is still on, RGB, fans spinning, Spotify in the background, etc., but I can't I do anything other than force a restart, I was also playing Assassins Creed, this time when I closed the game my PC for some reason became very slow and laggy and then there was no signal on the monitor, force restart again..
I would say my build is fairly "new", 1 year max of use!
asrock b450m steel legend
amd 5 5600x
rtx 3060
32gb ram 3200mhz
cx650 650w
hdd wd500gb (I feel he may be the culprit, been using it for almost 7years)
ssd patriot burst elite 240gb
nvme crucial p3 500gb

Hey there,
From my experience, such freezes are often memory-related. You can check your memory outside Windows using memtest86+. Run it from a thumb drive. If errors appear, the RAM might be faulty.
What BIOS version is installed on the motherboard? It might be worth updating if it's outdated. You can identify the running BIOS with CPU-z.

What is the age of this device?
Do you suspect the HDD might be the cause? It has been in use for nearly 7 years.
If the HDD is indeed the issue, try taking it out and check if the problem continues. If not, you've resolved the matter.
What is the BIOS version on your motherboard? Do you have a link to the RAM kit you're using?

I plan to try memtest86 later!
The latest BIOS version is p4.30, released in 2022. On the AsRock website, the most recent update is 10.08 from a few months ago. Perhaps I should consider updating the BIOS too.

The PSU was made in June 2021
I’d like to take out the HDD but I’m still using Windows on an HDD haha!
Operating system version p4.30 with RAM Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro (4x8GB)

Hello once more! Here’s a brief update:
I haven’t managed to run memtest+with 32GB as suggested online, which should take around 4 hours. So far I didn’t have time, but I did perform some stress tests—Heaven, FurMark, and Cinebench showed no issues or errors. Normally, my GPU and CPU wouldn’t recreate the problems I’ve been facing.
Recently, after finishing a game, my PC became very slow. Checking the task manager revealed a process named "iCue service for interaction with CorsairLLAccess controller" using 40% of my CPU. I tried fixing it, but I’m still unsure if that was the cause.
It’s unusual for me to encounter this process or any issues with iCue after over a year of use.
Anyway, I’ll run memtest when I can.
