when i pressed the m key it would type out "hmn" and the enter key would press f11 and f12 at the same time. it was strange, i tried a different keyboard and it didn't happen on that one. then i restarted my pc and the keyboard that was having the issue is fine now. i'm not sure if this has happened to anyone before.

Have you recently cleaned your keyboard? Probably not focusing on the enter key, but perhaps other buttons. Dust might be trapped under the keycaps (unless it's a laptop or uses chiclet keys).
It might simply be the keyboard itself—how long has it been there?
If this happens again, try a clean boot and observe if anything changes—follow the instructions carefully and avoid disabling any Microsoft services.
Ensure you don’t let Windows load properly.
If a clean boot resolves the issue, it suggests a startup program is involved. Over several restarts, restart the programs you stopped to identify the culprit.
