i recently got an acer aspire 3 15 and adjusted some settings in bios and set a password. after downloading a game, it asked for secure boot for anti-cheat protection. i opened bios but forgot my password, tried clearing the cmos battery, unplugged it for about 10-15 minutes, then reopened bios which still required the password and didn’t reset to secure mode. anyone have any advice on resetting bios? would a factory reset fix this issue?

A factory reset has no effect on the BIOS password. You should contact Acer for further assistance, as we cannot help with password bypasses.
