Hi everyone, can we create a good mini PC using an Intel i5 or i7 CPU for around $1000 Canadian or less? For reference, check out the Lenovo PC or Dell models.

Many factors determine whether you require a dedicated GPU. This configuration is near the price point but I’m uncertain if the case size suits your needs.

Consider purchasing one of the two options mentioned.
Take a look at The Intel NUC kits.
There is one featuring the I5-340P processor, which is somewhat similar to the 13400T models you referenced.
Add memory and storage.

I plan to rely on the built-in video since this machine will handle *mumbling* torrents and function as a plex server. The case is too large and the power supply is too strong. I need it to operate at minimal power because it must run continuously.
