Old build:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wVBWyg
Goal build:
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TWtRCd
Target: 4080s all white build, a bit future-proof, cost-saving if you can.
What are your thoughts?!
This is definitely a major upgrade. I still want an all-white AIO with a customizable screen if you have any suggestions.
Is it realistic to use my old PSU for a 4080s?
How confident do you think I’ll be able to get a 4080s at launch?
Any tips or tricks would be really helpful—feel free to adjust anything, and welcome any feedback!

A significantly improved PSU with higher wattage has been suggested, around 850W or more would be ideal. The current 650W model is likely insufficient and may not perform well compared to the new recommendation.

Absolutely, you’re looking for a solid 850-1000w power supply for the 4080 Super. Ideally, it should support PCIe 5.0 and ATX 3.0 standards, since power spikes are quite common on 4000-series cards, especially the more advanced ones.

Regarding the memory, your concern about spending nearly 200 dollars on 64GB is understandable. Unless you’re running complex professional or scientific programs or managing numerous virtual machines, such a large investment seems excessive. For gaming, it’s unlikely you’ll exceed 32GB, let alone that much.

As for the motherboard, paying over 300 dollars for a B650 feels steep compared to what you could get with an X670e model offering similar features and more PCIe lanes at a lower cost. It’s worth considering whether those extra features are necessary for your needs.

If your gaming plans involve 1440P resolution, you should seriously think about the RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB.
For instance:

This case offers superior airflow. You might swap the included 140mm exhaust fan for the 140mm ARGB model below if desired.
