Hi guys.
I'm just setting up my first Ryzen PC with 7800x3d on b850 tomahawk max wifi, using two 16gb Kingston 6000mt cl30 . KF560C30BBEK2-32.
I realized I need more RAM for a heavily modded KSP 1 game.
The motherboard is rated at 6400mt for 2DPC 2R.
But I've seen conflicting info:
1. It might not even start with 4 dimms.
2. It could run slower.
3. Be unstable.
4. Only works with SPD.
5. Everything seems okay.
6. It might be faster than dual channel.
Please help me. I'd rather keep the two dimms instead of buying another 32gb kit and risking both failing.
Anyone experienced with 4 dimms at 6000mt? Thanks.

Sadly, because of DDR5 and memory controllers, it's not possible to predict if problems will arise. If your area offers a good return policy, consider purchasing another identical unit and testing it. The safest option remains opting for a higher-capacity kit.

Will it work? yes/no/maybe.
Can you return the original RAM and then shop for a 2x32kit?

As before, providing the answers still holds. Even acquiring another unit of the identical RAM won't guarantee success.
The simplest option is to purchase a 2x32gb package and trade your existing RAM to cover the expense. This also eliminates concerns about needing a return or refund.
