Conducted a benchmark on 3dmark prior to and after a clean Windows reinstall, observing a steady reduction of about 2000 points in CPU score, along with a slight drop in overall performance. This occurred during the period from 5/31/24 to 7/13/24.

Performed several tests today and consistently achieved around 30,900. Previous benchmarks also showed similar results, near 32,900.

Could this be linked to the 13th and 14th generation issues and their effects?

The system is brand new, having been in use for roughly a month. It runs on XMP 1 with basic BIOS settings. Updated drivers and chipset have been applied. No unusual temperatures or hot spots were detected. All benchmark data is included in the attached image. I also attached some sensor readings from the latest Cinebench test (bottom right).

System details:
- ASUS PRIME Z790-P WIFI
- G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5-6400 / PC5-51200 DDR5 SDRAM 64gb (2x32gb)
- Intel Core i9-13900K
- Asus TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 OG 24gb
- 2 nvme drives (OS nvme), 2 sata ssd
- Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Could this be related to the 13th and 14th generation defects and degradation?
You're using BIOS version 1656;
https://www.asus.com/motherboards-c...fi...790-P-WIFI
The update adds the Intel Baseline Profile feature, letting you restore factory defaults for basic settings, reduce power limits, and enhance stability in specific games.
If you upgraded your BIOS to a previous version, you might regain those 2000 points, though there seems to be a reason behind the BIOS release to safeguard your processor.
