I'm starting to get back into construction after about 20 years. Being semi-retired keeps me engaged. My new build includes the following components: a motherboard from ASUS TUF Gaming X670E Plus, an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, an AMD Radeon RX7900XT GPU, a 1000-watt power supply, 64 GB of GSKill RAM running at 4790 MHZ, a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro hard drive, a NOCTUA Black N15 CPU cooler, and a PSU of 1000 watts.
Hello there, new member!
What BIOS version do you have installed on your motherboard?
You mentioned a 1000 Watt PS.
What is the model of your unit?
Your RAM setup includes 64 GB GSkill @4790 MHZ.
If you'd like, feel free to share the details of your case and the temperature of the room around it.
Have you checked there?
Also, did you set up the AMD chipset and video drivers from AMD directly? If not...
Follow these steps:
Install first: https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/...-am5/x670e
Install second: https://www.amd.com/en/support/grap...d-...rx-7900xtx
Run your tests again afterward.
Check the temperatures and power consumption during your test would come next after confirming your PSU can handle it.
Case model and ambient room temperature are as follows: the case is a Lancool 3 (Lian Li). The room temperature remains steady at 73 degrees F. During the benchmark, the GPU reached approximately 65 degrees C. The BIOS version on the motherboard is uncertain since the monitor no longer recognizes the GPU. I plan to verify once I access the BIOS settings. The advertised power consumption is 1000W. The unit's make and model are Seasonic Focus GX-1000. It might be helpful to share a link to the RAM kit used. The AMD chipset and video drivers were installed directly from AMD.
Are you accessing the free demo of 3DMark through Steam?
Yes, I'm currently using it. We have comparable systems with identical GPUs. I'm running a Ryzen 9 7950X with double the memory at 32GB.
I'm mainly interested in seeing how my results compare. My Time Spy graphics score was 30151 and the CPU score came in at 14705.
I haven't played 3DMark in a while. For GPU testing, I've been using Superposition for some time.

I actually bought the software via Steam, and one of my credit cards offered a deal for double points. I wonder if I'm not doing it correctly. My Lancool3-i9-RX7900XTX-96 GB RAM isn't reaching 30k on that benchmark, not close at all. Did you achieve 30k with the original setup? It seems like I'm facing problems with both PCs.
