I own the RTX3080 with 10 GB and am extremely satisfied, not planning to upgrade my card just yet...😁

Souper82, thank you for your response.
I'm currently testing some benchmarks on the 3080 and will compare them with the 4070 later. I'll share the outcomes once everything is done.

I understand the answer was provided, but this video is still worth checking:

A simple case showing games running together on the same system looks quite similar. I'd agree with @RTX 2080.

Although I don’t possess either card, I once had a 3080 for a short time. It’s a decent card, but the VRAM is somewhat limited. Personally, I’d sell the 3080 and keep the 4070 for a while because of its higher VRAM and the fact it’s newer, which could mean longer driver support—something that might not matter much depending on how quickly you sell the card.

As discussed in my earlier update, the outcomes from the 3080 strix and the 4070 are presented. These figures come from the Haven benchmark and the 3Dmark Nomad benchmark. Below these standards are three titles I personally own that include their own benchmarks: Totalwar Warhammer 1 and 2, and Company of Heroes 2. To achieve these scores, I tested each game twice and selected the maximum FPS value from the benchmark tests, which are primarily average FPS measurements except for Company of Heroes 2, which recorded the highest. Although the 3080 strix outperforms in average frames per second on these tests, I noticed it tends to run about 10 degrees Celsius higher on average. Occasionally it reaches up to 15 degrees. I found this temperature variation interesting given the triple fan configuration and reversed center fan designed to enhance airflow. After evaluating other titles such as Space Marine 2, Original Sin 2, and Elden Ring, and observing the FPS via the Nvidia overlay, I believe I’ll retain the 3080 strix. There appears to be a noticeable improvement in frame count, making it a solid choice and supporting vibrant RGB lighting. Hope this information assists others in similar scenarios and thank you for your feedback.
