You're seeking guidance on selecting a future-proof power supply unit compatible with your upcoming hardware upgrades. It seems you want to ensure your PSU can support the RTX 4080-4090 and the new 5-series in 2-3 years, while also considering AM5 compatibility within the next two to three years or opting out entirely. You're evaluating options such as Asus ROG-STRIX-1000G, Corsair RM1000x, and Corsair RM1000x 80 PLUS Gold, alongside be quiet! Pure Power 12 M and Corsair RM1000x 80 PLUS Gold, aiming for a PSU that lasts five to ten years.

pure power 12 M isn't the best in build quality compared to what you have listed.
If you plan to upgrade later, it's better to get an ATX 3.0 – this way you won't have to downgrade for new NVIDIA graphics cards.
For instance, Phanteks AMP 2.0 is solid and doesn't cost much.
MPG A1000G or Thermaltake ToughPower GF A3 are also good choices.
Slightly pricier but even better would be ASUS Strix Aura.

You're considering whether a 1000W 3.0ATX PSU would suffice for your upcoming GPU upgrades, weighing the cost of a slightly pricier option against potential future needs. Your current setup suggests you might need a more robust solution for larger builds. The available models range from around 150-170$ for non-3.0 ATX units to 220-230$ for the 1000W 3.0ATX, which seems like a reasonable choice given your budget and future plans.

Yes, 1,000 WATTS at 3.0 is sufficient even for top-tier graphics cards (unless Nvidia releases 5xxx series graphics cards). The ASUS Aura stands out as the top choice among the options provided.
