I'm looking for a virtual machine that can run DirectX 12 and allow USB passthrough so I can use two mice and two keyboards on each desktop using a single monitor.
Just to confirm: what is the main goal? One individual operates a keyboard and mouse on the desktop to play a game, while another participates in the same game through a virtual machine using a different keyboard and mouse setup, with the game displayed on a shared monitor. I have tried various configurations and still can't locate what I need. I prefer not to use two cards and monitors since I'm aiming to lower energy usage. Hyper-V with a partitioned GPU performs well, but I can't get it to allow the second mouse or keyboard's only host to control the Hyper-V desktop. All third-party USB apps show through the mouse pass-through, but you can't see the pointer or cursor.

I really can't figure out why my energy use is so high. I'm trying to get it under control soon, but the main focus is on eventually building a battery generator for my portable PC while camping. Another idea is to run VMwear and use a streaming service that uses my PC as a server. Any advice? Parsec seems really costly since it doesn't offer a lifetime pass or affordable service fees.
Currently, I struggle to bring my server or PC down below 247w under typical needs. If I’m talking about off-grid living or fishing for 10 to 14 hours a day, I need more power. But if I can’t figure out how to run everything on one monitor, I’ll have to supply extra power because I’m using a server along with a tablet, laptop, or PC that needs to handle two VMWEAR player instances.
