I've changed most parts at once, yet never assembled one completely from scratch. I'm not looking for a powerhouse, but aiming for something better than my current setup. I don't need to spend a lot of money, and I don't care about RGB since the monitor placement doesn't matter much.

Right now I own an i9 (around 11900) with a 4060 Ti with 1TB NVMe, another SSD, and an HDD totaling roughly 2.5 extra space, plus about 2GB of storage. I usually stick to 1080p because my monitors have different response times already.

What's the best path and choices for assembling it easily, with room for future upgrades? PSU and everything. I have a basic generic case, but I can buy one if needed.

Mostly I buy cheap Optiplexes and upgrade as much as possible, but I'm weary of their proprietary designs and space constraints. I'm considering starting with 16GB and aiming for 32GB, or going straight to 32GB for memory if the price difference isn't huge. That's all I need to know.

Currently I have i9 (11900 i think) and a 4060 ti with 1tb m2 nvme and another ssd and hdd totaling about 2.5 additional space, but 2gb total would probably be ok. Please list the specs to your build like so: CPU: CPU cooler: Motherboard: Ram: SSD/HDD: GPU: PSU: Chassis: OS: Monitor: include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time. You're advised to stylize your thread with info asked of in this thread; *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice* How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice First off, respect where respect is due - this is an adaptation of the Animal's *How To Ask For New Build Advice* Sticky. I created this because there's a lot of posts nowadays asking for upgrade advice both on here and on the CPU forums, and I feel... forums. so the community can chime in with worth while suggestions. You state you have monitors laying around, perhaps a list of what you have access to would help us two fold. 32GB of ram is practically the norm for 2025+ I do already have a 750 gold modular psu sitting around. if that would be powerful enough? 750W is the advertised wattage of the unit while Gold is the advertised 80+ efficiency rating of the unit. What is the make and model of the unit and it's age? What sort of hardware did it power prior? Moved thread from Components section to Systems section.
