Hello, I've just completed building two PCs. The first one is running perfectly, but the second one isn't working at all, and the yellow DRAM indicator on the motherboard stays lit continuously.

Both computers have identical specifications:
- CPU: AMD 7600x
- Motherboard: Asus B650-Plus-Wifi
- Power supply: 850w ASUS
- RAM: G.Skill Trident Z DDR 5 32GB

I conducted tests without the GPU since I don't see any need to install it during troubleshooting. I've tried all possible troubleshooting steps, updated the BIOS to the latest version, and cleared the CMOS multiple times—removing the battery and touching the pins.

I've used known working RAM sticks one at a time in each slot (from the other PC). I also purchased a new motherboard, as they refused to replace it (probably realizing nothing was wrong). I've re-seated the RAM slots, testing one stick at a time. I've loosened the CPU cooler, swapped power cables, and ensured everything is securely connected.

Despite these efforts, the issue persists even after switching to a new motherboard. When trying to boot, it doesn't cycle through the LED indicators and stays stuck on the constant DRAM light. This leads me to suspect either the CPU or the power supply is the problem.

Before sending the CPU back for repair, I'd appreciate any additional suggestions you might have that I haven't considered.

I'm not interested in dismantling the entire system, as that would require removing the motherboard, CPU cooler, and CPU—especially since I'm worried it could disrupt the other components. 😅
Looking forward to your feedback.

This motherboard?
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/...UM...?model=TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI
Check that I located the relevant User Manual.
For the second PC:
Examine the complete User Manual initially, then revisit and confirm the RAM modules are properly seated and securely fastened according to Section 1.4 - Pages 1-12.
Focus especially on the Feathered Notes and the four bulleted comments.
I anticipate it may be minor oversights or mistakes regarding the second PC.

That exact motherboard has been checked multiple times—reseating the RAM ten times didn’t help, and even plugging it into a working system still triggers the same "Yellow DRAM-LED" issue. I’ve also used identical RAM sticks from another functional computer with the same board. It seems like there are limited options left, and I might have to return the CPU for replacement. It’s hard to believe it could be the motherboard again 😅

Keep the operating computer untouched.
Consider replacing it with another functional PSU, using only the provided cables.
I understand you’re not suggesting a new motherboard.
It’s worth noting that depending on your location and local availability, there might be some faulty or fake products being offered.
You pointed out the concern about the seller refusing replacements—unless there are clear valid reasons, I’d be cautious about trusting them.
Are there other options for purchasing from different suppliers?

Sure, I'll attempt the PSU swap.
It seems the second motherboard comes from a more reliable supplier in my view.
Appreciate the assistance, I'll let you know once the PSU swap is confirmed.

I've already tested a functioning PSU using the provided cables, but the issue persists. I plan to return the CPU tomorrow to check if that resolves the problem. Hopefully it will work.

Hey Ralston, can we determine if the CPU is present by booting without it, especially if no DRAM error appears? Or might the system just ignore any alerts? I'm just checking if this makes sense. While I wait for the CPU to show up.

No. The processor is required.
For additional details and specifics:

.
Please note the following:
