I installed WIN XP on my dedicated computer and placed the registration key, but it still insists on being registered. How can I resolve this issue? I haven’t needed this before; the registration key worked fine previously.

With service pack 3 XP essentially functioned similarly to Windows Vista, requiring online activation. However, due to server issues, online activation is no longer possible. Previous versions of XP should still work with just the serial number.

I attempted the link you provided, but the web page from phone activation isn't available. Can you find an older version of WinXP or know what steps to take? I'm eager to get this computer fully functional again. I use it in a jukebox I built many years ago and want to restore it exactly as it was originally set up.

Check FreeXP as an alternative option.

I've turned on XP twice this month. Contact the 800 number and the representative will email you a link to activate XP. The toll line is no longer working.
