Question Wildlands versus Breakpoint?
Question Wildlands versus Breakpoint?
If you go over my initial response again, you'll notice I haven't played it. My thoughts on Breakpoint center more around Ubi's sci-fi setting with a drone army and a tiered loot system, along with what others have shared through gameplay clips and conversations.
The Ghost Recon series has always been a tactical shooter set in realistic environments, focusing on tactics and gear. The shift to a tiered loot system suggests they aimed to attract a broader audience, especially those drawn to magical items that give an edge. This change seems to cater to players who enjoy overpowered gear, which can be seen as less mature in their approach compared to other titles like Splinter Cell.
I believe Ubi has learned from past mistakes by not ignoring fans of traditional shooters and classics. Despite current financial challenges, there remains optimism that they will return to simpler, more balanced gameplay rather than continuing with a tiered loot model.
Certainly more weapons can deliver greater power, yet headshots usually result in a single kill, particularly with long-range sniper rifles. Various rifles may need 2 to 3 shots at close distance, influenced by penetration, range, and accuracy. Not every weapon guarantees a one-hit kill. Some SMGs can eliminate targets with three headshots from a distance. However, in tactical scenarios enemies might still take you down with just one shot, depending on their armament. Headshots boost the weapon’s damage by a factor of two, so the exact impact varies based on target class and firearm used, but at full health only sniper rifles reliably achieve a single headshot kill.
By the way, the R5 RGP carbine stands out as the best for maximum damage when equipped with a suppressor, offering both powerful hits and reduced chances of being caught.
The most effective and lethal tool in the game remains the HTI sniper rifle, capable of delivering maximum damage. To obtain this rifle, you must travel to the Montuyoc Training Base located in the eastern part of the Montuyoc province. This weapon is powerful enough to take down helicopters with a single shot. However, it resides in an extremely challenging and tough area, meaning you’ll need to overcome many formidable foes to secure it. I couldn't, lol.
Another strong option is the BFG-50A, though it’s only accessible via the Fallen Ghosts DLC. Its performance in terms of damage, precision, and range matches that of the HTI.
tnx man
if you couldn't, then it's likely really tough, but I'll attempt to handle that rifle.xD
Actually, I'm not really a skilled gamer in the traditional sense. My abilities are limited, which made this challenge more difficult for me compared to others who have more experience. For them, it was manageable since they're seasoned players, like the one above.
I play games casually just for enjoyment. Tactical shooters can be tough on me, but I handle run-and-gun FPS/TPP shooters and RPGs easily. I hope you get the point.
If you've played "GR: Advanced Warfighter," you'll know how intense that game was. It was quite challenging for me at least! Enemies could eliminate them with a single shot. We definitely need to improve our tactics and take levels one by one carefully.
Sometimes the quickest path through a level isn't always the best one.
Yeah that's a strong sniper rifle, and based on what I remember, the reason it can hit vehicles is because the ammunition contains depleted uranium. It has a very low rate of fire, so it's ideal for long-range shooting with a powerful scope, and even then, missing shots usually means you'll need to move quickly.
It's located in the same training camp where they teach troops, as mentioned by MM, so it's available on The Instructors mission. The provinces are listed in order of difficulty, and the Montuyoc region where this gun is found is considered one of the more challenging areas. You definitely shouldn't use the main road to reach this spot—it would be from the northeast. By the time I became familiar with the game, I entered The Instructors mission from the northwest, which makes it much easier to sneak in without being noticed.
