Question Why do I see dim pictures on my windows 11 screen
I have an ASUS ROG Swift PG329Q 32 screen that runs windows 11. When I hit the HDR button, it sometimes turns dark on its own while still showing the high brightness setting. It can go bright for six hours at a time, but sometimes it goes back to low light after just one or two hours. This happens when playing games, watching movies, or even sitting on my computer desk. I can turn it back on right away and it stays bright again until it gets dark once more until then. Any help would be great because you made sure to read this message first.
Hey there! Have you tried the monitor driver for your one : https://rog.asus.com/monitors/32-to-34-i..._download/ I wouldn't bother installing Armoury Crate, but the driver and utility might help. Are all your system drivers up to date too? What are the rest of your PC specs.
The name is xxxx and the processor is an Intel Core i9-10900K running at 3.70 GHz. It has 32 GB of RAM installed, and it runs on a 64-bit system with an x64 CPU. The graphics card is an RTX 3080 Ti. I have updated my drivers already, so the system looks good for full HDR right now without any dimming. In case it dims later, I'll just wait to install new drivers instead of reinstalling everything from scratch.
Check out the HDR settings on your screen. Here is some info for you: If you have multiple screens, go to Settings > System > Display and select HDR there.
