I possess two tablets and am considering gifting one to my wife's grandfather. I'm unsure which one to choose, as they are nearly the same. However, the Samsung model is about three years older, likely a 2016 Galaxy, while the MediaPad is cheaper but from 2019. I also have a Samsung phone, which might matter. I need to decide today. Thank you ahead of time.

I would choose the media mainly since it uses a more recent Android update. Neither of my tablets stands out in quality. Depending on your budget and location, I can suggest suitable options...
