Yeah, I could buy an Acer Aspire 7 (since it costs less than 50,000 INR) instead of a laptop. Alternatively, I can build my own PC using an i3-12100 CPU and a GTX 1650 card with GDDR6 memory. My budget is around 50,000 INR or about 625 USD. You guys have any other cool ideas?

Hah if you have 625 for an upgrade thats totally a different story because you should get a decent build. A 12100 is a good starter option, maybe this site could help out?

Some titles run here but they look ugly. Open DosBox to see the classics. Other emulators let you play old SNES and NES games too, like Sega stuff. You have almost 25 years of stuff from before that you probably haven't touched yet. Also try opening RA: Command & Conquer or Red Alert's non-official remake if you want a good RTS game. It has new source code. You can look at older turn-based games that aren't too heavy on graphics. Civilization III, maybe 4? Or Sim City 2000/3000?

That would help some, but it's still going to be an exercise in frustration for most games. And if you have to run an emulator it seems that would hamper things even further because some amount of the already weak CPU resources are going to be required to run the emulator as well. Obviously, if you already have this there is no reason to not at least try it on some titles but I expect you'll be really looking to find some kind of discreet card before very long at all. Hell, even a lowly GT 730 would be a moderately sized step up from that, and I don't think very many people would ever try to game on one of those unless they literally had no other options.
