PlayStation 2 old stuff is all you really need now. Running anything new on that weak graphics card is a real pain. Maybe Call of Duty could make it work if you drop everything down to the lowest setting possible.

It looks more like 480p or even 360p, possibly running at a slow 30 frames per second.

If it works, it's worth more than nothing even if you have to try hard to make sure it runs.

Sure, if they had a 720p monitor instead of a 1080p one, things would be okay even on the lowest settings. But since they are using a 1080p screen and don't have enough power for that, it might not even work at all. Also, some newer games need specific versions of DirectX to run properly. Changing the resolution down won't make it look better; it will just make things look worse on such an old screen. Honestly, I think this setup doesn't work without a much stronger graphics card.

Sometimes its not about how pretty the graphics look though, sometimes you just want to be able to play something even if it looks rough. Honestly its why games have settings sliders to begin with. I recently played Borderlands 3 on a Ryzen 2700u apu while traveling for a bit, yes it was 720p low at like 35 fps, on a 1080p screen, but when i was playing with friends in co-op i didnt even notice. I get that you give up visual fidelity maybe you can at least play the game and hopefully get some enjoyment out of it. I mean the only other option is to not even bother and thats just a waste of hardware, especially with free titles, what do you have to lose by giving it a shot?

Giving up on high quality visuals isn't a bad idea, but trying to use an old Intel integrated chip that was also the first one of its kind? Sure you can imagine how weak it would be. It's about 13 times slower than a dedicated graphics card like the GT 730, so saying it might not work as expected is probably too low on a note. The real point to make is there are likely no graphics chips that don't have more power out there in the world when using a standard PCIe connection. Sometimes, you just say yes or no and that's all.

if you could just get a GT 1030 GDDR5 card, things would be much better. I am not trying to be rude, but using this weak graphics processor is really tough. Basically, there are very few choices left for you except playing old games.

Yeah, sure, but they already bought the stuff, so why change it up? I also think they need better hardware, and that's something they are planning for at the end of the year according to the OP. Just remember the OP is in India; I don't know what their prices or availability there like we do here with GPUs such as a 1030, 550, 460, an R7, or a 750 Ti. They are probably okay for us, but not everywhere else. Saving up on a new card takes time and might be too expensive for some folks compared to others. There are still ways to get one that is underpowered but it's totally fine if you just keep using what you have right now. Don't expect amazing results when you upgrade, but try anyway—you won't lose anything by doing so.
