I own an ASUS GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER with 6GB GDDR6 graphics card. I need to purchase a 550 watt power supply, but I'm feeling unsure while comparing the choices. I've already had one PSU with an 8-pin connector that didn't work, so I really appreciate any guidance. Could you suggest a few different brands that would be suitable? Thank you.

Hey there,
Please list the rest of your system specs.
Straight off the bat, I'd suggest a Corsair RMX550w Gold. Quality PSU that has all the connectors you need, but it also has a 10 year warranty.

Hello!... There is usually a main guideline... allocate 15-20% of the entire system. If your PC is quite expensive, then invest a significant sum in the PSU as well. A budget PC user shouldn't spend too much on the PSU.

Since you mentioned having a GTX 1660 Super, which is a solid card, and a 550-watt PSU for the whole setup, choosing a good PSU really depends on what's available in your area. The most common options are Corsair, Coolermaster, XPG, and Seasonic PSUs.

For users on an ultra-budget, I suggest:
1) Corsair CX 550 80+ Bronze
2) Coolermaster MWE 550 Bronze V2

Both have changed a lot since their release, and we're still uncertain about the exact PSU variants you'll find.

For mid-range users, Coolermaster V750 Gold V2 looks promising and Corsair RM650 is also a solid choice. Stick to the PSU list available in your area and let me know if you need more details.

You have between 550 and 650 gold, that's enough.

Thanks yall, next time I’ll post I’ll put my system down. It’s been built for a while now, quit a few years ago, and I don’t remember much about what’s inside. I do have two stks of Corsiar Vengeance, but my system is only showing 16 gigs of 2 18 gigs stks. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to get it working, but now I’m getting old. Again thanks, I have it on order.

P.S. I'm currently dealing with another issue while building, so I'll be back soon. Thanks
