I own a Toshiba Satellite S55t-B5233 laptop. It works great but stops showing my date and time when I leave it alone for more than two days. This feels exactly like the CMOS battery is failing, even though I can't find any online info about where that little piece of battery goes on this machine. After opening it up, I don't see a battery at all. Help!

Lots of websites say Satellite models use a battery from the laptop instead of their own. But since you didn't share your specific model, I couldn't confirm that for sure. I found this link: https://support.dynabook.com/support/sta...Link=false Hope that helps. If it doesn't show the details, just check page 83 on their site by following the reference number provided there.

Take the main battery out, reset things up with a power flush. Some Toshiba laptops actually use the main battery for their clock settings too.
