I’m facing a repeated BSOD with the error "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR". It began after upgrading my CPU from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a Ryzen 5 5600. The crashes occur mainly in tougher games such as Battlefront or For Honor—especially when loading or saving. Notably, I don’t see problems during stress tests like Cinebench or Prime95, so the problem seems tied to real-world gaming load.

I’ve tried several fixes: updated chipset drivers, flashed a different BIOS, swapped RAM kits, and reconfigured CPU and GPU. The crashes were more frequent before the driver and BIOS updates, showing some progress, but they still happen under heavy load during games.

Details of my setup:
- Ryzen 5 5600
- 16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM
- ASUS ROG GTX 1080 Ti
- B450 motherboard (model if possible)
- Windows 10

Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated—thanks ahead!

If everything functioned properly before and only the CPU was altered, the likely reason is a faulty or overheating CPU. Which cooler are you considering?

It's a Corsair AIO with a 360mm radiator, which should be sufficient. I don't have the exact model details.

where did you purchase the cpu?
what is the motherboard model?
which bios version appears during the boot process?

I purchased the CPU from Amazon and the motherboard is an Asus ROG B450-F.
I plan to review the BIOS version later today since I'm at work.

I don't have enough information to determine if the CPU is defective. Could you provide more details about the issue?
