Does XTU modify the default BIOS set by the manufacturer? Can the settings be restored to original factory defaults after overclocking with XTU?

XTU modifies the BIOS from Windows, yet it is the BIOS that manages these adjustments. Resetting the BIOS should restore everything to factory defaults, but it hasn’t done so and I’m unsure why. Likely, as I expected, the default settings would have resolved the issue. You might consider reinstalling the BIOS, though this carries risks since a mistake could render the laptop unusable.

I removed XTU and reset the BIOS to defaults. I noticed the intel XTU folder in C:<program data>.int, which is running in the background with logs and profiles. I attempted to delete it but couldn't. Is this issue related, and will resetting the laptop completely and setting the BIOS to defaults fix the problem?
