Hello, I’m looking for your advice or thoughts on this.
My PC specifications are: RTX 2070 VENTUS with 8G bandwidth, Ryzen 5 3600, 2x8 GB RAM at 3200Mhz, X570 Mobo, and an NVMe SSD.
When playing games like Witcher 3 or Mad Max, I notice some stuttering issues with my MSI afterburner. I maintain stable FPS, but frame rates drop suddenly during intense moments, especially in fights. This usually happens in Mad Max but not often in Witcher.
Both games are installed on the NVMe SSD. In Witcher it’s minimal delay, around 0.5 seconds, whereas in Mad Max it can last a few seconds—sometimes up to 1-1.5 seconds. It doesn’t seem to be caused by autosaving.
I’d like to mention that my PC never stuttered in games such as GTA V, Call of Duty Warzone, or For Honor.
Yesterday I played Mad Max at maximum settings (144FPS, 144Hz) for about two hours. After that, a grey horizontal line appeared on my screen—even on my desktop and Chrome. I tried disconnecting the Display Port and switching to an HDMI cable, but it wasn’t the issue. When I unplugged the GPU, the screen showed “No signal,” yet the line still appeared. After around 30 minutes, the line disappeared.

If someone is dealing with issues in these two games, here are some tips that helped: Enable Freesync and disable Vsync in all games. In Witcher, locate your witcher.exe file, open properties, set compatibility, and check "Trun off Fullscreen optimalization." You may notice 1 to 2 stutters when starting up or completing quests. Have a nice day.
