Specs:
Ryzen 5 5600X
Radeon 6650XT
32G G.SKILL 2400Mhz
Samsung 980 EVO 1TB
Samsung 870 EVO 500GB
WD 500GB
Seagate 2TB HDD
So I've had the same set of RAM across two whole different builds and on both there have been times where the system would "slowly lose function". First the clock would stop, then the task bar would get stuck, I couldn't interact with any programs and trying to open task manager would work at first but trying to reset explorer would only leave the list of options when I right-clicked slightly faded. The only option would be hard reseting.
Now, I am assuming that the RAM is faulty because
1. Every single necessary component is new EXCEPT the RAM.
2. The RAM is DDR4 and only 2400mhz(that sounds slow but if not then rule this out)
3. The idea that makes the most sense to me is that because I bought the first set of 16 new and a seperate set of 16 used, the two sets are conflicting and causing my system act weird.
Of course I don't know much about computers but I am thinking of replacing the RAM because nothing else makes sense and I need some insight from a more educated crowd.

Did you really verify the RAM?
MemTest86 - Official Site of the x86 Memory Testing Tool
MemTest86 is the original self-booting memory testing software for x86 and ARM systems. It works with both BIOS and UEFI, offering USB boot options.

Ryzen tends to be quite particular about RAM, so double-check that it covers all the required slots. Also, verify that only one pair of RAM sticks is installed in slots 2 and 4. Please confirm the type of power supply you're using.

I tried the built-in Windows memory tester but wasn't sure if it was effective. I also haven't fully grasped MemTest86, but I'll revisit it later.

I own a modular 750watt Corsair PSU, but the problem only occurs occasionally, making it hard to predict when to replace the RAM. It seems to be happening more often now, which still feels inefficient. If fixing all RAM sticks means using every single 32GB, then it does sound like that.

It's too basic to spot incompatibility or mistakes, just a few passes with MemTest86 should suffice. Any issue will be highlighted in red.

Sure, I'll try it out in the morning. I'll keep you updated on how it goes. Night.

I updated it and removed the RAM sticks I bought second. I'll check to see what happens.

If you're seeking another method to examine, I've tried Karhu's RAM Test—it helps spot problems efficiently. However, it costs $10 (currently on sale). Online sources also recommend TestMem5 using anta777's configuration, which is free: the link provided. It's worth mentioning that I chose alternatives since reports suggested MemTest86+ doesn't heavily stress memory components, though it can affect CPU memory controllers as well.
