Question SIMS 3 fails to start - Windows 11
Hey everyone, just started using a new PC running Windows 11, but I’m having trouble getting Sims 3 to launch.

I’ve tried reinstalling the game, disabling/restarting Microsoft Visual C++, updating drivers, and applying Windows updates. Still no success.
I’m reaching out for any advice or help to interpret this log better. I recall there were past issues with Gen 12 games and CPU limitations, but I haven’t found much specific info.

try this powershell script to start the old game
Hi there,
I just completed installing an unofficial patch that resolved my problem right before you shared this.
If anyone else is facing this issue with an Intel 12th Gen CPU, you should check out this link:

and download the AlderLakePatcher.
Thanks for the help!
