Question Silent switches for Logitech G502 X Plus Wireless?
Hi everyone,
In short, I own a Logitech G502 X Plus wireless mouse – really like its ergonomics and feel compared to other models. However, the clicks are too loud and tinny, which is a big issue for me. I decided to disassemble it to install silent switches (10 PCS / Kailh Mute Button 6x6x7.3 Silent Switch).
After a decent but not perfect soldering attempt, the left and right clicks stopped working, though the rest of the buttons and RGB lights functioned. My brother replaced the switches on his Logitech mouse (a different model), but I couldn’t find any online examples showing the same PCB used for the X Plus – only the Lightspeed version was mentioned. So I didn’t worry much and just tried it out.
Looking into it, it seems like a compatibility problem. The X Plus uses lightspeed switches, making it hard to swap them out. I was hoping someone experienced could help and share tips if this is even possible. My soldering looks good and the connections seem solid.
