Question Right Analog Stick Drift
Question Right Analog Stick Drift
Hi
my dualshock 4 controller shows stick drift on its right stick. I've had the controller for two years. About six months ago, the drift was 5% toward down and increased to over 15% after three months. After adjusting the potentiometer it returns to 5% drift. Now it's stuck at 15%, and changing the whole analog stick doesn't fully resolve the issue—it still shows 5% drift!
if it isn't the right stick, which component is causing this problem?
tnx
My belief is that the right stick potentiometer has worn out, specifically after 2 1/2 years. You might be able to swap it out.
You might want to check if a replacement is possible.

i changed the potentiometer three months ago, but even adjusting the entire analog stick failed to resolve the issue. the drift remains at 5%, and it's expected to worsen to 15%. other components besides the analog stick might be contributing to this problem.
