Question Resolved: Upgrading my rig. Is this a suitable configuration? Thanks.
Reviewing the component list, it seems the CPU, motherboard, RAM, and possibly the cooler are new additions, whereas the rest appear to be from your earlier build.
Some thoughts and ideas:
If you're opting for a Ryzen 9 processor, consider the Noctua AM5 offset mount.
Noctua NM-AMB15
Hi, yes, the CPU, cooler, MB, and RAM will all be replaced, keeping the rest unchanged. I’m unsure about my decisions since I built my first setup, but now I aim to upgrade it for better performance and longevity. My current system is 8 years old and still functions well, yet I want faster components to extend its lifespan another eight years. Regarding the AM5 mount, it includes the U12S cooler as stated on the site.

It seems an AM5 mounting kit has been available since January 2019.
As for the RAM, I’m not sure why I picked that particular type, but I understand my existing DDR4 won’t work with it, so I went for new DDR5. If Flare X5 is a better option, I’d choose that instead. Do you mean Flare, not Flex?
The main distinction seems to be that Trident includes RGB, whereas Flare does not. You might want RGB as well.
Hi, no not at all. It is a closed non transparant case. Cheers.
The noctual mount I selected is the offset version. It positions the cooler 7 mm below the center to align it more effectively with the hotspot of a Ryzen 9 CPU.
If you're using the AK620, consider the thermal grizzly AM5 offset mounts.

Also, I intended to use the flare X5 for a lower profile RAM height and improved cooler fit.
The B650 motherboard remains future-proof for regular users thanks to the primary PCIe X16 slot in 5.0 mode and a 1 M.2 SSD in 5.0 mode.
All available motherboards include a front panel 3.2 Gen 2 type C connector supporting a 20gbps connection.
As mentioned, the X670E is necessary only when you require additional PCIe 5.0 slots for cards or SSDs simultaneously.
I actually believe I also require a new case to link the USB C, since my present case only supports USB-A.
Edit
: after reviewing this, the USB-C front connectors on my case's front panel aren't really essential.
I prefer having extra slots, just in case I add an M.2 slot later.
Final question, should 6400 RAM be preferable over 6000 ?
Edit
: according to what I found, 6000 is the maximum and more than enough for my needs.
Thanks, you've been very helpful.
You would get more M.2 and x16 slots, but they would still be PCIe 4.0. Only the main slots would be PCIe 5.0, while the B650 and B650E models would use PCIe 4.0. The primary slots would support PCIe 5.0, but the later models in the 3000 series and 5000 series reached optimal performance around 3600MHz. If the price difference isn't noticeable, it shouldn't matter whether you go with a 6000/30 or 6400/32 kit.
Thanks to everyone assisting me with the rig upgrade. I'm placing the orders now.
