581.57 was released on October 14, 2025, and I'm experiencing a black screen issue. I need to perform a hard reset by unplugging the power cord. Lenovo plans to replace the failing RTX 5080 only after it completely fails, which isn't ideal. I'm looking for a spare graphics board to have on hand in case the Nvidia RTX 5080 stops working. Would you recommend an AMD-based card as a better option?

Provide additional details such as full system hardware specifications, operating system, power supply information, disk drive specifications, and a list of connected peripherals. Also clarify whether the network is wired or wireless.

Have you explored other drivers before? Did everything begin with the 581.75? If you choose AMD, aiming for something near the 5080 would be the 7900XTX; even that model won’t surpass the 4080 but comes close. The 9070XT matches the 5070 Ti at best. Generally, the 5070 Ti performs marginally better overall. Personally, I’d just run benchmarks and let the 5080 fail, then have Lenovo swap it in. Is this available on a Legion desktop?
