Question remains about the new build with R5 3600 and B550.
Here’s a summary of the key points you mentioned:
- You’re considering the R5 3600, RTX 2070, and a 16GB 3600mhz card with 700W Seasonic power.
- You’re comparing it to the B550 or 450, noting the B550 supports PCI 4.0 and future upgrades.
- You’re curious if getting a B550 early is wise, especially for a new graphics card class.
- You want to know if you can install the R5 3600 in the B550 without issues or needing BIOS updates.
- You appreciate the help and want a clear answer.
country and budget? what seasonic psu? they offer really decent units and some great specs. a 500w is more than enough for that kind of build. the b550 looks promising. it supports PCIe 4.0, PCIe 3 lanes (previously PCIe 2), USB 3.2, and better VRMs at similar cost. I’d definitely go with the b550 board. It comes with support for second, third, and fourth generation chips out of the box. For APUs, you’ll need to update the BIOS though.
