Hey everyone, wondering if it's feasible to connect a Bluetooth keyboard or mouse through BIOS. Currently I rely on a wired keyboard before logging into Windows. If that's not an option, are there alternatives besides getting a new keyboard or keeping the wired one nearby? Let me know your thoughts!

It's not feasible without a basic setup. If you're serious, link your keyboard and mouse to a development board like an Raspberry Pi, then simulate a connected HID device. This would introduce extra delay and make the process quite complicated.

unfortunately, the devices that enable bluetooth function only when using windows. you might work around this by connecting your peripherals via a usb 2.4ghz adapter, or otherwise you’ll need a physical keyboard and mouse connected through bios. often affordable options are available at thrift shops, such as a corsair k55 rgb for just $3 at a goodwill store

Windows handles Bluetooth pairing. I’ve never tried it myself, but I heard wireless versions work just fine.

Thanks! It's disappointing that BT devices aren't supported during Windows boot. I rely on a wired keyboard mainly because I need to access BIOS frequently after reboots—it tends to be unreliable. I usually see memory issues but GPU performance is stable. I've tried two QVL Listed GSkill kits without success, so I'm testing a Corsair kit today. If that doesn't work, it might be a GPU problem since I've replaced other components. The memory issue becomes noticeable only in safe mode after exiting BIOS without changes, then booting into Windows. After launching an app right away, I get a memory error similar to a car needing warm-up in cold weather. If this new memory kit helps, I won't mind using BIOS less often.

This works when connected to a USB transceiver.
