I found this setting in my Asus B550-F motherboard BIOS named "Power Supply Idle Control" and there were three options: Low Current Idle, Typical Current Idle, and Auto. It was set to Auto, probably by default after a recent CMOS reset. Could anyone clarify what each option does and whether it’s necessary to adjust them? With the PSU I use being a Phanteks Revolt Pro 1000w, it seems reasonable to keep it in Auto mode?

Keep it at auto settings—it's designed for older power supplies that might trigger shutdowns due to low idle voltages.

The variation is likely due to the algorithm applied for each; it seems to hinge on the final line in the Auto description — "Depending on how you use your computer..." You probably won’t get much useful detail about the settings, as they’re likely irrelevant for most regular users.

It could affect the GPU while it's not running. It's suggested to stick with Typical settings.
